There's 3 stages which is first a test on technical knowledge about basic engineering question and the second test was to test how far can we handle stress (at least that's what they said it is for) and last but not least the interview itself that for my case were done in a group of 6 person.

The questions were quite technical mainly about air conditioning and basic electrical engineering. They gave an hour to answer questions. It was a face to face exam then an interview followed.
Firstly, to introduce yourself. And then, to ask you what you learn in your university, and why you want to work in Japan. However, though they said there were 20 min for the interview, I was told it's time at 15 min.
First phone screen with HR recruiter then a phone interview with an engineering supervisor. Final round was a video call with 3 engineering managers. All asked fair questions, mostly about my past experiences and how I would approach the situation differently, etc.
