I interviewed with the Department, the Chair, Dean and Provost. I was required to conduct a teaching demo & I attended a lunch meeting with the Department. I submitted my application - CV, writing sample, letters of recommendation, etc, through a position advertised on Higher Ed. The academic process is a long one - the whole process from application submission to offer is typically 9 months. It is a year long process. Pace is not any longer than any other institution. The faculty, staff and administration are all very nice. The students are great. Other than my commute, it is great.
