Pretty standard. Initial meeting with HR, followed by potential manager and some higher ups. Questions were standard and everyone was very easy to talk to. They seem to like to go through the hiring process very quickly. It felt a bit rushed coming back multiple times in about a week and a half.

This review is for the Planning Manager role currently open in the Toronto head office. The process is standard, first screening interview with HR, second in-person interview with Director and VP. 1st Red flag - The hiring manager I was told I was going to interview with never showed up. Instead two other people showed up. These two other people, never introduced themselves, and never explained why the other person was not in the interview panel as originally planned. 2nd red flag- The 2 interviewers seemed very unprepared. It almost seemed like either they had already made a hiring decision or they had just been asked last minute to cover this interview. Either way, they were visibly unprepared which in my opinion was very unprofessional. 3rd red flag- The interview was very unstructured, it was almost like they didn’t know what to ask or they had never conducted an interview before. They kept looking at each other, and both looked very clueless. 4th red flag- They finished the interview in about 15 or 20 minutes, and then said another more senior member of the team was going to take 5 minutes as he was in a call, I ended up waiting for 15 or 20 minutes. Again, this was very unprofessional and unorganized. A few days later I followed up with HR, and she sent a standard follow up email saying they were not moving forward with my application, when I asked for feedback I never heard back. Advise: Do not waste candidates time asking them to come for an in-person interview when the hiring team has either already made a decision, or it is visibly not interested in the candidates profile.
