I was contacted by a recruiter who found my resume on indeed.com. I replied back expressing my interest. The next day I took the online job assessment. A few days after the assessment the first interview was over the phone for about 5 mins. The recruiter determined I was over qualified for the position I applied for. I then asked about this position which was posted after I had already applied. She referred me to the recruiter for Branch Manager Position. That recruiter contacted me via email, I took the job assessment for this position and a phone interview was scheduled. The second phone interview lasted about 45 mins. It included a series of "tell me about a time" questions. I also was able to ask the recruiter questions that we didn't already discuss and she wrapped up the session by asking salary expectations. With my answer, she provided benefit information and salary range. A few weeks later, I had an in person interview the regional manager. It lasted about 45 mins also. He told me about more about the company and his market expectations. He asked about 3 or 4 "tell me about a time" questions during this discussion. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the market and the changes in the industry. I was also able to ask him questions that we didn't previously discuss. The interview ended with him letting me know I'd hear something in a few weeks. Total process took about 8 weeks.
I was notified by email that I did not land the position. "The position did not result in a mutual fit we strive for."
The usual - first a phone screen with someone in HR and than an initial phone interview with the hiring manager.
After the phone screen, I met with the Regional Manager and felt the conversation went very well. He told me he would be in touch within 2 weeks which was longer than he would like but, COVID19 was impacting his ability to move more quickly.
After the phone call, I was ghosted. No next phone call as was the plan. No automated message to let me know another candidate had been selected or they had decided not to fill the position ~ nothing.
