Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 5 días. Acudí a una entrevista en PNC Financial Services Group (Naperville, IL) en oct 2011

      Entrevista

I applied online on the week-end and received a call on Monday from their Recruiter. The Recruiter just wanted to verify that I knew it was a part-time position, I had to work Saturdays and some weeknights. She also wanted to know why do I want to work part-time and why PNC. I then was told that an assessment would be sent by email and I needed to complete immediately. It would take -60 minutes to complete. I immediately received the link online and took the assessment. It was basic behaviour questions, about how you felt about rules and regs in your job, do you enjoy or dislike group meetings and group projects. Do you like to be micromanaged or work alone, so and so forth. You will see alot of questions repeat themselves, it seemed to be the ones that you put neutral on. I passed the assessment with ease. I then received another couple of emails stating I had to fill out additional information online. It was the same questions, last employers, do you agree to a drug test, yada, yada. The interview was set for Wednesday, I then learned that it was a group interview. I arrived early, there were 5 more individuals who were interviewed as well. You had to fill out a sheet with where you want to work and the hours you want to work. As the other candidates are coming in, you are told by the interviewer to tell them what they are suppose to do with the folder. I thought this was a bit awkward, but done with ease. The interviewer asks everyone the same questions: What do you know about PNC, what does PNC stand for, give an example of a big sales goal you me, give an example of when you made a customer happy, why do you want to work for PNC, how does PNC fit in your career goals. You are then asked if you have any questions. Then they ask whoever they are interested in to stay. I hands down aced the interview. I was there early, dress to kill and honestly didn't feel as though that was what they wanted. I was the only one to volunteer to answer the questions and started every discussion, because no one else would. They seem to favor bi-lingual candidates who can sale sand in a desert and even some non bi-lingual candidates who are salespeople. Definitely don't dress down, but don't dress too nice, it will intimidate them and make you stand out. If you have a Bachelor's degree, forget about it. I believe they want the candidate who is working 3 jobs and trying to attend school, just my opinion. To sum up, they want the best Salesperson. And the conference room smelled like a port-a-potty. Such a turn off.
