Initial phone screening with a recruiter a couple of weeks after applying. Called in for an in person interview a couple of weeks after that. It was a generally pleasant experience. I wasn’t sure if the culture was quite what I looking for and I haven’t heard back so am assuming no offer. Strangely, I am a bit relieved not having to make the decision on this one and am happy to have not received an offer. It wasn’t quite the right thing for me (when I asked the hiring manager what he liked about working at Paccar, the answer was structure, which was probably is not up my alley), but the people I interviewed with were really nice and pleasant. It was my first interview experience in a long time outside of the company I have worked at for over a decade and I did really appreciate the experience. They were lovely people and the interview process was pleasant. I appreciate them taking the better part of a day to meet with me. I felt like I answered the questions to the best of my ability and that I must not have fit into their culture since I didn’t get an offer. I am fine with this. I have a lot of experience and if I don’t fit with a culture and group I don’t necessarily want an offer.
