Applied online, got almost instantly invited to do a coding assessment. It was timed and limited to 30 minutes. While the problem wasn't particularly difficult, navigating an unfamiliar platform and handling all the test cases within that time frame was a lot. I don't like multi-hour assessments either but 30 minutes was more reminiscent of a crisis than normal operations. Never spoke to a person so I imagine they are casting a wide net in a low-effort sieve.

he interview process was well-organized, and every interviewer I spoke with was friendly and professional. My one significant concern relates to how my visa situation was handled. I disclosed my visa requirements to the recruiter at the very start of the process. I then completed all interview rounds and received positive feedback, only to be told afterward that an offer could not be extended because the immigration team was unable to move forward given my circumstances. While I understand that visa sponsorship isn't always possible, I was disappointed that this wasn't verified earlier. I invested considerable time preparing for and completing multiple interview rounds before this was raised. I'd encourage the company to confirm visa and sponsorship eligibility earlier in the process to avoid putting candidates in a similar position.

The interview started with a referral from an old colleague. The interviews were scheduled quickly. There were 4 rounds with the whole process taking 20 days from initial contact to offer. The 2 technical interviews were a whiteboarding session and a online coding challenge. The coding challenge was about implementing algorithms using my own chosen tools. I used Python and VSCode.
