First thing on the assessment day you are taken as group to provide your ID's and have an introduction on the company, what they do and what you are looking for. As a word of advice, wear a tie. Not many in my group did and coming to the end of the talk they say they have already been assessing you even before your interviews. They talk about you representing the company and smart dress shows you take pride in appearance. Also have some paper ready or ask for some paper to take some notes on the slides shown. Some details will come in handy for your interviews and it show attention to detail. Lastly don't be afraid to ask questions, it shows your interest and confidence, just don't go crazy.
