I was invited to an assessment following my initial application. However, I don’t believe the assessment fairly reflected candidates’ skills and abilities. It mainly involved group activities where a few individuals scored us based on our interactions. Personally, I found this approach unproductive and quite distressing—it felt as though we were being assessed like children. Ironically, I was reprimanded for demonstrating strong knowledge relevant to the job and told I lacked team skills. I find it absurd that I’m expected to respect an opinion even when it’s clearly mistaken, and that simply being confident and well-informed made me come across as condescending. The whole experience was demotivating, and I have decided that I do not wish to apply for any further positions for this organisation.
