Very pleasant interview. 2 interviewers. Online Interview. Used the STAR method, as instructed, to respond to questions on my experience, interest reasons in the job, and interpersonal skills in terms of dealing with in-project conflict. I enjoyed the interview, thought it went well, and the interviewers were clear and friendly.

Screening process was great. More qualified and organized than Hiring Managers. 2nd interview was quite unstructured (Clearly the decision was already made in mind). Regardless of answering all questions perfectly and offering all details of required as a follow up, it was certainly more subjective than objective “it was evident during the meeting”. If you are minority, Good luck. White is the colour folks.

1 screening interview by recruiter (20-30 minutes). Followed by Virtual interview with Panel of 2 (Hiring Manager and a senior manager) for an hour. Each took turn in asking mix of behavioural and technical questions. Clearly they both showed “Fake” interest but ghosted later. Never responded back to follow up on updates, incorrect/misleading expectations set for the timeline of outcome. They both were unstructured and clearly good at faking that “We are funny and that equal opportunity employer”. I barely noticed any minority representation and I don’t think they care about innovation. Typical laid back luddites. Absolutely disorganized and spent entire 1 hour on this meeting while did not even talk about the role itself but kept asking questions to give impression that everyone is fully engaged on this call. Message: Try not to assume that applicants are dumb. We are part of community and panel must have some decency/self respect to set true/factual expectations. I don’t think that OPG has responsible leadership after this experience.

Multiple various questioning and those both program and senior project managers were clearly disorganized. So they initially “stated” 5 questions but asked over 10 questions. A clear message that they were trying to somehow identify a reason to refuse.
