I interviewed with Oncam on 26th Nov 2018. This was a F2F interview after completing, 2 hours online technical test and 30 minutes HR interview. On the day of interview, I understood that the hiring manager hadn't read my CV before short listing me. Even after completing the online test, he could have read through my CV. On my interview day, when I did my CV walkthrough, he was reading my CV in front of me and was completely taken aback by the fact that I didn't have video streaming experience. It felt very unprofessional and apologized for calling me. During my HR interview I had mentioned that I had little video traffic generation experience during my Phd degree and was looking forward to learn more. This was conveyed to hiring manager that I had experience in video streaming. It was a waste of my holiday yesterday and my travel expenses. I felt a mark of disrespect for the professional and felt mildly humiliated. In addition after writing an email to the HR asking for a refund for my travel expenses, there has been zero communication both from the agency and the HR. I never write bad reviews for any company interviews I have attended. But this is my first time and hoping it will be last time.
