I applied to a job posting for an engineering position. The hiring manager reached out to me via email and invited me for an in person interview. The in person interview was more of an on-boarding than an interview and the manager hired me on the spot. He promised to contact me in the following week with my start date, I never heard from him. I emailed and called the office multiple times over two months with no response from the manager. I visited the office in person and the manager said he had meant to call me but the start date had been pushed out over 6 months. I accepted a different job. Never heard from the hiring manager again regarding my start date or anything else for that matter.
