      Entrevista

By far the strangest interview I have ever participated in. I only participated in one first round interview with this company. I have HR experience and my entire interview was filled with red flags. Poorly conducted, unprofessional, and disorganized. The interview started off with a lot of emphasis on "grinding" and "hustling." I was also asked if I have "thick skin" in terms of feedback, which was quickly followed up with "Don't worry though, we'd never yell at you or talk down on you." Um... Instant, large red flag, that definitely indicates I'd probably be yelled at within the role. (After reading the company reviews after my interview, it was clear my intuition was spot on.) The CEO joined the interview halfway through, and the interview took a very intense turn. He was extremely fixated on why I left my former companies and "job hopped," and maybe asked one question that was actually relevant to my skills and the role. He asked me, "Convince me why you wont jump ship at our company after you have at all your others." After answering such a strange question fairly, he responded that he was, "trying to ask me difficult questions to test how I react and behave under stress and pressure." Which was another huge red flag from an HR standpoint. Moving forward he asked me what work life balance looks like to me, I explained a very reasonable response of about 40-45 hours with flexibility when the company requires more. The CEO then asked me, "What if it was 85 hours?" I asked for more clarity, asking if he is inferring about 85 hours a week consistently or an occasion, he then said, "Well what about, 65 hours?" Another red flag that I would have no work life balance in this role. The CEO went on the explain that those who do well within their company are individuals who are fully dedicated to their career and make it their priority over their, "personal interests." Following that, they let me know they have hired and fired about 100 people in a short amount of time (BIG red flag!), and it was very clear to me that I did not want to become hired and fired #101. Additionally, I was also asked "What would a day in this role look like?" Which I thought was an extremely odd question... as I have never worked for this company so how would I know what the role would be like without working it prior? Usually this is a question I ask the company in an interview process to gain an understanding of the role. Very uncomfortable and poor experience that left a very severe unprofessional impression upon me. I quickly declined my interest in moving forward in the process. It was very clear to me this company does not have any HR professionals.
