Recruiter was engaged by Novartis for fill this position only. Two interviews with recruiter before meeting i HR director of Novartis. Following HR interview, a few weeks passed without communication. Then, with suitable explanations about key people being away on international business, I was invited to Montreal (from Toronto) to be interviewed by a number of senior people, HR director (again), immediate superior/report for the position, director of marketing communications, director of marketing, VP marketing & business development. This was a full day undertaking. For lunch, I was hosted by the HR director and an HR assistant. It was clear during this luncheon (at a fine local restaurant. If you know Montreal, that means something), that all was going well and that I most likely had the position. During the afternoon, more interviews with such individuals as medical director, manager of regulatory affairs, marketing services manager, etc. All were clearly trying to sell "me" on the position. It was quite an interesting and fun-filled day. They obviously know their candidate screening processes very well.
