Make sure that if you begin the interview process you receive A LOT of clarity about the requirements and length of the process. Over the course of 2 weeks, I spent 6 hours in the interview process and was asked to spend an additional FULL WORKDAY interviewing for a role that was not a management position and paid an "eh" salary. This was the timeline... - 1 hour phone interview with person "A". She was great, I will say that. - Then, multiple timed assessments via Gorilla Testing, which take around 1.5 hours to complete/you have to be on camera for so they can take screenshots of you while you complete the test. - Another 1-hour phone call with person "A", This is reasonable, - Think you're close to finished? Think again.., you are asked to upload a video of yourself onto YouTube or another social media platform of you selling something. (If you are a perfectionist or care about the quality of your work and how you represent yourself, this takes a lot of time). Therefore, I spent A LOT of time on this. - You're not done yet. Alexa, play Taylor Swift "The Man"... Least.... but not last (yes, I know its backwards, I did that on purpose). I had a 1-hour long phone call with someone on the East Coast who is the regional manager or something. He gives..... 1. The Scooter Braun of curtains 2. Yankee who couldn't sell water to a Texan who had been stranded outside for 10 hours at 3:30pm in August because he is that unlikeable. While you can tell he is very business-minded and very wealthy, which he will allude to many times, I am surprised he is in sales, because he has the disposition and charisma of a paper cut. He is extremely condescending and dismissive. I think my favorite part (ha) of the interview was when he asked me a subjective question about how I would handle a customer situation. When I was finished answering he asked, "Do you want to know what the right answer is?" Then proceeded to tell me what the company policy is for handling that specific customer situation........ K, Cool. At the end of the interview, he asked, IF an offer was extended to me, would I be open to attending a meeting/conference they hold for customers every so often at the warehouse local to me when he and person A were in town. I said yes, I thought it would be reasonable to attend if there was an offer officially extended. - Then I got a message from person A, inviting me to attend the meeting, with no offer extended, FROM 8:45AM TO 5:00PM on a Tuesday. Mind you, I was still working a full-time job. The disrespect. The disregard for your time. The Scooter Braun of it all. Period.
