My Nordstrom job search actually began with a Nordstrom Rack phone interview. Upon learning that I would leave for college in less than two months, the interviewer told me that the Rack was looking for people who could stay longer, but that if I was looking for a seasonal job, I should apply to Nordstrom. So as soon as I finished speaking with him, I submitted an online application to Nordstrom. It took just a few days for them to contact me by phone to schedule an in-person interview. I came in that afternoon, and was cheerfully greeted then escorted to HR. The interview was short, about 15 minutes, and felt like a friendly conversation. The questions were the classics, and expected: Why Nordstrom? Tell me about your work experience. Tell me about going above and beyond. Tell me about working in a team. Tell me about a challenge you faced. I was happy with the way the interview went and just a day later, HR called, but I missed it. I reached them the next day and they told me I was hired. Overall, it was a pretty seamless experience--HR is so personable and the rest of the employees seem so kind as well. I look forward to beginning my job!

Came in met with a women and was asked questions one on one in a separate alone room. It wasn't intimidating.
