      Entrevista

      HR was very unresponsive. Waited 1 week after the first HR call to contact them again - only to find out that the 1st HR was on leave and i had to email another HR ???? The technical interviewers were actually nice but they got their focus wrong! Asked a bunch of very niche Javascript questions like hoisting, global context (var) when i clearly stated that I primarily worked on the backend in Typescript which will not allow most of the weird JS behaviours. Basically one FULL hour was spent on answering weird JS behaviours which should be avoided at ALL COST in production codebase!!! Yes, u can ask about programming specific questions but it does not imply a candidate is a bad one just because he/she does not know about the weird behaviours about a certain programming language. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING is so much more than just a programming langauge!!

      OA from hackerrank 16 qns — 15 MCQ on DS, OS 1 coding qns (leetcode medium difficulty standard) I feel that would be considered one of the harder interviews compared to other tech companies considering how it’s a round 1 OA that has the format of 15 CS concepts + leetcode medium qns (which are usually asked in future rounds) all to be completed within an hour

      Completed a OA of general questions, ds, and computer basic knowledge. Questions are well structured. Meet with hr for 20mins talk, no technical interview and rejected the nextday. Feel like they are lacking EP quota, no respect is given to the well completed OA.

      Hello! I'm sorry that you had a poor experience interviewing with Ninja Van, and that you felt that our HR interview was meaningless for CS graduates. At Ninja Van, Culture and Soft skills are a priority when it comes to hiring, and the HR interview is key to assess it. We audit all our interviewers to ensure that all candidates get the chance they deserve. Even so, nearly 70% of candidates fail our HR interview due to poor communication skills or poor culture fit. We believe that caring about how someone works is just as important as what they can do, which is how we maintain a collaborative and positive culture in our teams. I hope that explains why we don't treat our HR interviews as meaningless here at Ninja Van.
