I interviewed for over four months for two different roles and ultimately ended up being ghosted by the recruiter that I was working with. Before being ghosted, I was told that everyone on the team "loved me," I was the "top candidate," and the hiring manager "didn't even want to interview anyone else." I was so invested in this opportunity and the process was incredibly disappointing. I'd read all the negative reviews for interviewing but gave the process the benefit of the doubt. I ended up having the very same negative experience.
