I spoke with two executives of the company (COO and CSO) as well as the head of chemistry. The interviews went well, but they never asked about salary expectations. When I received the offer, it was much lower than I expected -- about $20k lower than was listed in the Indeed posting -- and after a brief attempt to negotiate, I ultimately declined the offer.
