I did the assessment and they just told me that there is another person that fits more the position without any feedback for the assessment.
I thought that they will give me a feedback after wasting two days doing the assessement. I think that it is a little bit unfair.

The assessment was a little bit tricky and I could use Java, C++ or C with UI Components.

Entrevista
Round 1 : A phone call whose purpose was just to get know the candidate and to talk about the company
Round 2: A 2-day C++ coding assessment. A single question with 3 parts; based on mathematics and graphics.
On-site interview :
The day started with a presentation given by you to the whole company (most of the people). You have to talk about any project you did in the past. After that you get a demo of their product - Yomi.
Then the actual interview process starts. You go through up to 6-7 rounds of back to back interviews with different teams/people. These interviews vary from technical to behavioral. Then it's lunch. If you performed good in those interviews, then you get to meet the VP and CEO after lunch. Otherwise you go home after lunch. The interview with the VP and the CEO are your last two interviews.
If they like you then you will get a follow-up for references (up to 3) from you college/past-employers. If you reach up to this point then that means you have cleared all the interviews and you are one step away from the offer.
My experience :
I think Neocis has a great product Yomi, and I really liked the whole team on-site. All the interviews were competitive yet casual. I didn't get an offer because I got beat in one of my references. It started from a typical behavioral question - "Have you ever had a conflict with any of your teammate?". I was very honest about this question and told them about a Phd student who I had some conflicts with. So, as part of my references they asked me to get that Phd student to be my reference. That seems like an odd request as usually people who are not in good terms with you, will either not give you a good recommendation or will not give one in the first place. I got beat in the latter. The company's CEO insisted on getting the Phd student to give me a reference but the Phd student denied giving me one. So I kinda got stuck in the middle and hence didn't get the offer. Seems a little unfair but it's fine.
Long story short, try and be smart about your answers, specially to the behavioral questions and try not to be 100% honest (99% will do too :P).
With all that said, I think Neocis might be a great company to work for.
