Applied through NJM and received email from recruiter type who basically qualified me enough to determine if I had the credentials to move on to a higher recruiter. The very next day I was set up with a video call which seemingly went very well with the second recruiter. Second recruiter mentioned that process where I would be having an in person interview may take some time but I was assured I would be moving forward with an in person interview. About a week and a half following that same recruiter reached back out just to confirm a few details on my resume and then reiterated that they would be in touch soon regarding the in person interview. My phone interview and video interview were almost 6 weeks ago. I did reach back out about 3 weeks following but was told recruitment was waiting on the department to decide when in person interviews would happen ::looks at watch::
This is just a really bad way to lose good applicants. It reflects poorly on the department hiring as recruitment gave me the impression they've done their portion of the jobs and their hands are tied. It's unfortunate because both recruiters were excellent.
