I had initial HR call and then technical phone screen with hiring manager. It went well and got invitation for onsite. It lasted about 4 hour and met with 5 different people. after that I did not hear anything for almost 10 days. one day I got call from HR and She said that ‘’we want to make an offer but will not be able to offer compensation what I asked for, but they will offer whatever I am making right now. I said send me an offer letter and then we can talk about it. next day I got email saying that they can not even afford to pay whatever I am making right now. I don’t understand why they agreed to pay at first and wasted everyone’s time. Very unprofessional
