I was contacted by HR for a screening interview. At the end, I was asked to do a work assignment prior to my interview with the hiring manager. The work assignment was lengthy. It required a lot of research, writing and designing a three email sequence. I completed the assignment. Two hours prior to my interview, I received an email saying they had decided to reorganize the marketing department and the position was no longer available.
