I did not initially apply to the position, the hiring team contacted me because I had "an impressive resume" and invited me to a phone interview. The job description that they were looking for someone with a design and illustration background, which I have experience working in. Most questions were the normal such as tell us about your past experience and what software I was familiar with. The interviewer then asked about industrial design and product design experience which was never mentioned in the original job posting. They then emphasized that they would only be moving forward with candidates who had industrial or product design experience. I believe future job postings should reflect what the team is looking for to not waste candidate's time.
