Recruiter reached out. Had a call. Very vague on covid policies — indicating most folks work in office in dec 2021 ( really?!). Moved on to a call with team lead. The discussion is standard and around my experience. No red flags for me. After two days and a weekend, got a email from recruiter says don’t want to move forward right now. I asked why but no feedback at all. I am very confused with their criteria and would not recommend because of this.

The recruiting team was very quick and responsive with the whole interview process. There was an initial phone screen with a recruiter and the VP of engineering. This was much more fun and engaging and it really feels like they're having a good conversation about your interests and goals rather than the standard recruiting script I've heard in many phone screens. The on-site is very thorough, diverse, and challenging. The problems will range across coding problems, machine learning design and theory, system design, and architecture. There are high expectations on the quality of your answers, but the interviewers are very supportive and definitely there to help and discuss through any of your ideas. To compare with ML engineering positions at large tech companies, I found that more depth of knowledge was required for the Moveworks ML position, and the coding portions were more challenging as well. The whole process is very fun the day flies by very quickly. They take you out to lunch and you get a chance to meet everyone at the company. There is a definite energy you can feel to this company where after interviewing, it's easy to see they have assembled an elite team with a fantastic culture! I would definitely recommend interviewing at Moveworks if you're looking for a challenge and a chance to work on an amazing product!
