The interview with the recruiter was fine, although it took a couple rounds for us to connect effectively, but the issue that I had was the actual interview with the first person that would’ve been one of my peers they clearly are selecting people for these interviews that have no experience in fraud because they were asking very specific questions that had nothing to do with fraud which in all honesty I wasn’t going to give them all those answers unless I got the job. I’m not here to help them build something without not getting paid and it was just very clear from the person I was interviewing with that they didn’t know what they were doing or asking than actually getting to know me or my experience so it was a little frustrating to be honest.
Additionally, it’s interesting how such a small company is hiring for experience and guidance but if it doesn’t fit their mold they pass. You clearly don’t know the answers and want someone to come in and do it, so don’t pass up good talent because you don’t understand the area.

Recruiter reached out a few days after I applied. Said my resume was already shared with execs who wanted to meet me. Told me to “standby” as I would be receiving interview availability soon and if I can be flexible because they wanted to hire fast. Felt like a dream as most companies are hiring so slow and not being communicative at all. I kept refreshing my emails for two days feeling anxious and not wanting to miss the interview slot. Well if I was holding my breath, I would have died! No email came despite my follow up. Horrible experience. Don’t tell candidates to literally sit by the phone waiting to interview later today if that can’t happen.
