The process was 5 stages in total. HR round was general conversations around experience - make sure to highlight experience around experimentation and AB testing etc. Second round was with a senior data scientist. He delved into deeper conversations on hypothesis testing, p test, chi test and so on

Pleasant, asked good questions. I don't think I had much of an opportunity to showcase my skills or experience. The interview process was long in my opinion, with the initial talent team the earliest slot was almost 2 weeks ahead. I had to chase for an update on my application status.

Initial Stage: Recruiter Screening : mostly talking about experience in the current role and the reason for applying to Monzo. Mid Stage: Hiring Manager interview: Mostly behavioral about asking stakeholder management and research design, projects you have done in the past etc. Take Home Test: They give you two datasets and ask to solve some basic SQL questions. Tech Screen: In this screening they ask you if there's anyway to optimize your query - mentioned in the take home test, then the final part is based on AB testing and the technicality behind designing and running the test and launch decision. For example: Is this is T test or Z Test, how do we reduce sample size, how would you define sample size, what are the requirements r variables to get before running the test etc, hypothetical question around storing databases efficiently etc. Final Stage: Product Sense interview: Two questions: one around running an AB test, defining the metric to track, launch decision and also strategies to implement based on test outcome. The second question is around how to do measurement of a share of wallet question. Behavioral Interview: mostly around stakeholder management, navigating complexity, prioritization and leavings things better than you found.
