I applied online and was contacted by an HR/office manager type person. No phone screen, went into the office for an hour-long interview. They didn't tell me anything about the position, just had me talk about my background and walk them through a couple of projects. Honestly felt a bit like we were wasting each others' time -- maybe they had already found someone who they wanted to fill the position or something.

Normally is about 4 steps - start with a call with HR (about 30min checking your background and interest), then skype meeting (in my case) with 2 people. After that there is an activity and another interview.
