Simple and straightforward. Since it is an undergraduate internship, only basic questions on availability, basic knowledge on the research topic, and research interests were asked. The interviewers were professors that will be supervising the projects.

Research interests and interest in pursuing a postgraduate degree.
First stage is the online application, as usual, you enter your relevant details and indicate your most interested research projects. If a professor finds an interest in you, they will reach out to you and arrange an interview. In the interview, they will mostly speak about the relevant project and your experience.
We first had to fill an application. Then the professor would mail you for an interview. I had to fill up a preference form for projects. Accordingly, I got called by 3 professors.
