Entrevista
The job posting was through a recruiter which I didn't realize until after the initial call. Everything seemed like I would be a good fit considering I have been working in agile/scrum for many years along with the technology they use of C#/Angularjs. The first interview was with 3 people which included a dev manager and a couple others whose positions I don't remember. It was general questions about my history and what I know about agile etc. They have just switched over so they wanted to make sure they hired someone who already knew that process. Between the first and second interview the recruiter mentioned before we moved on that they had concerns that I wouldn't be fine working in older technology. I explained that I was perfectly fine with it as I currently have to develop with an older technology on a legacy application and have no problem with it. The second interview was with the CTO which was a different format. He likes for the interviewee to ask questions first. My main questions were what was the vision technology wise for the future of the product. There was some great back and forth conversation on the developmental state and the future plans. At the end of the interviews I felt I was an excellent candidate as all went well and their position operated the same as my current position just a different industry which I was excited to learn about. After a few days I reached out to the recruiter to see if they had heard back and after another day or so I finally got a response of they were going with a stronger candidate. When I pressed for feedback I was told the same issue as before about the concern for working in older technology despite me already addressing it with them. Overall I felt quite disappointed but not with the interview process itself.
