Today's new trend: No call back after 2nd interview with 4 people. (1st interview with 2 people.) It may be that the latest trend is to avoid an uncomfortable 3 minutes with a candidate who hasn't made it to next steps. This is what happened to me. Thought it was rude & unprofessional. I decided to call HR and was told there is another candidate that may fit the bill, nothing definite yet. Fine. Asked if she would call me either way. No such luck. I'm told that this is more & more common. Do companies even know that I have a network of professionals who may or may not hear about this experience? Uncomfortable lobby experience where you have to be escorted in and out by an employee. Badge issued, and later interviewer has to witness return of said badge.
