The initial interview was great with the recruiter. She was kind and asked general project management questions and provided me more information on the position. Next I had the opportunity to meet with the team I would work with. The questions they asked were very straightforward but I was prepared and not only provided answer but solutions to current obstacles of the team. I finally finished a great interview and my final round was with the lead of information technology. We greeted each other we went into another room to speak. With a stern face and emotionless eyes he asked me standard questions such as why I got into project management and so on. I gave him great answers to his question as well. I believe in providing eye contact during interviews as a sign of active listening and respect but he seemed to be staring or trying to intimidate me which threw off the energy of the interview. However, I felt very confident during the interview. After the interview he seemed stale and I couldn't get a great read on him. However, I did not get a response from the interview as my final interview date was May 4, 2023. I gave a call and emailed for a follow up on the status of my interview but no response. I highly recommend not applying to Mercer County Community College's IT department particularly. The interview processes was non-professional and the team is inconsiderate of a candidate's interest and time we also chose to allot to meet with them.

The interview process went well. but After accepting the offer, the hiring process are so unprofessional and do not know how to do their job well. Beginning of the application, I mentioned i need sponsorship and they went ahead to schedule an interview. They offered me the job, signed the offer, and background check, they noticed my work authorization was valid only for 9 months which I told them I will extend for two more years but they rescinded at the very last minute. I happened to let down other offers.
