Entrevista
That interviewer spent half an hour asking sales sales sales centric question and questions like "How are you going to be a good manager?" and "What would you do to motivate your subordinates to do more sales?"
Don't be fooled by the glorified "International Management Trainee" title. They just want to hire you as a SALESMAN. Period. There's nothing more to it.
How do I know? Well, it's very simple. I was told I'm not cut out for this "sales intensive job" as I'm more suited for a "well structured corporate career" as I told them I prioritize work-life balance. According to the interviewer, I lack sales experience and knowledge. DUH! I came from an electronics engineering background. If they're looking for people with sales knowledge they should've just said they only accept a degree in sales/marketing rather than opening the position to degree holders of ANY discipline.
What else? Oh, apparently I don't come across as someone "aggressive" as they need four(4) such people to set up their first ever office in Malaysia and push their products to each and every conceivable corporation out there. Listen, they're coming here with a team of FOUR Management Trainees and probably another TWO of their existing managers to take on the Malaysian market! Setting up a new office with 6 people, 4 of whom are newbies! Doesn't that show how ambitious (or not) they are! When I asked the interviewer if they see any potential market here for their products, he answered "Oh yeah! Definitely! It's a HUGE untapped market for our products there. That's why we're setting our first office in KL".
So people, you're in for a salesman interview. Good luck trying to sell yourself. Oh wait, if you successfully sell yourself you'd make a good salesman, just what they're looking for.

Entrevista
