Initially I was contacted by phone and had a 45 minute conversation with a sales manager. Basically just went through my CV and asked questions about why I wanted to work at Meltwater and why I was interested in sales. At the end of the interview I was immediately invited to a group interview held in a downtown hotel a week later. At the group interview there were 10 of us and were walked through a presentation on Meltwater and the job position , which lasted over an hour. After this we were asked to each introduce ourselves and then talk about an achievement we were particularly proud of and how it represented our character. There was then a team exercise where we in small groups of three and had to think of a company that could benefit from a Meltwater service and do a group presentation to everyone else in the room. Finally each of us had to pitch a hobby or interest that were passionate about to the rest of the group. The whole interview was slightly bizarre, made it out as if we were auditioning for the X Factor or something. The Area Manager claimed that 420 people had applied for the position, I guess this was a ploy to make us feel special as if we were the chosen ones. Turns out if you read online they say this to all interviewees. It was a very rigourous procedure was what turned out from the job discription to be a cold calling job.

made it past the screening, learned from hiring manager they expect 150 dials per day, which is insane. you are a full cycle rep, how are you supposed to run any demos and close any deals if you are dialling 150 times per day. Not to mention the base pay is trash. what a joke.
