The person interviewing me was friendly and easy to talk to. They told me I would hear back in a week and it's been a month and I heard nothing back. After spending hours prepping for the interview it would have been nice to have not been ghosted by the talent acquisition staff.

A waste of time.
Despite meeting and exceeding the minimum requirements of the role. I was deemed not good enough and as usual given the "moving in a different direction" excuse. They reposted the position twice in the time since, so they clearly need a GPS for their own hiring practices. They stress quantity over quality which is ridiculous from an efficiency stand point. If you worry so much about metrics up front, maybe take a look and see how many of those cold calls actually convert. Any worthwhile recruiter or business executive cares more about the conversion rate more than 100 blind calls a day that lead to nothing.

2, 30+ minute interviews over zoom then a 3+ hour interview in person, then another 30 minute zoom interview.
Enjoyed the process leading until the last interview, every one seemed great and we got along nicely- I would’ve loved to work with them.
In the final interview, the head of west coast operations began the interview with “I am the grim reaper” so… great start
He then went on to explain that he was focusing on improving diversity in the company which sounded great to me- I think more minority candidates with less traditional backgrounds should be given opportunities. Then explained to me that in recruiting, diversify means more men…not people of color or actually underrepresented communities.
Then explained to me how disappointed he was the last time his recruiters hired 2 white women to fill some roles. I am a white woman so I just awkwardly sympathized and moved onto the next question.
Not so shockingly I didn’t get the job- every one else who interviewed me was surprised and thought I was a good candidate. He said it was because my motivations weren’t aligned, but we didn’t even discuss “motivations” in our interview together.
Feels like he decided I wasn’t getting the job based off the fact that I’m a woman before we even got on the zoom call. Wish I knew they weren’t looking to hire my gender before spending so much time interviewing with them.
So if you’re a man good luck have fun! If you’re a woman I wouldn’t waste my time interviewing for any west coast offices.
