The interview it's self if pretty standard and straightforward. I first applied online for a home-based CRA role for individuals with CRC experience. They reached out about a month later for a video interview with a lead CRA. This was normal questions like why do you want to be a CRA? Why are you applying with Medpace? How did you hear about us? ect. One technical question about SAE's. About two weeks later I was emailed and asked to complete an at home CRA assessment. This has to be printed and scanned back so beware if you do not have access to a print/scanner at home. It was a time 1 hour assessment. Another 2 weeks later I was emailed requesting a 1-2 hour interview with HR and a CRA manager. This again was fairly standard and your average interview questions. They also told me the starting salary would be around 55k and they do require a non-compete for 1 year after leaving Medpace. However, during this last interview I was asked if I would considering relocating to Cincinnati even though I had applied for a home-based role and everyone had expressed that this was indeed a home-based position. A week after the interview they told me they could not offer me a home-based position, but they would offer me an office based position in Cincinnati. No relocation assistance would be provided. No thank you and I considered it a waste of my time to pull back the home-based aspect of the role after three rounds of interviews that took up multiple hours of my time. If Medpace is your only option to get in to the clinical research field I would say go for it, but proceed with caution especially with the non-compete.
