Entrevista
They have 4 rounds.
1- Phone screening with HR.
2- Meeting with Manager.
3- System design and architecture with a Dev.
4- Coding test with a Dev.
The manager is a friendly person from Argentina who is very nice and welcoming with very good communication skill. No comments about the manager. However, I was caught off guard by the subsequent interviews since unfortunately, the Dev on round 3 who evaluated my system design skills didn't have proper English skills so we had a linguistic barrier and I was misled to think that this is not a test. Even though, I managed to solve the task with him, he didn't tell me if anything was wrong or bad; he reported to the manager that am not very good at system design. The manager on 4th round seemed to be like a poker face, he didn't say much. He gave me a simple coding task which I managed to solve it in few minutes. Then he produced a new challenge which eventually I managed to solve. I asked him at the end of the interview if he had any comments but he said everything is fine and he is satisfied with my solutions. Unfortunately, he told the manager that I don't have proper knowledge in data structures and algorithms despite the fact that he never actually asked me questions about that area and the coding task didn't really require using data structure and algorithms and he never even hinted it.
At the end of the process, I appreciated so much that the manager actually came back to me and gave me the feedback the other Devs wrote about me; and I got the feeling that he really wanted to help me and he respected my time and effort for the interview. Medallia is an international company and good thing that they hold onto their values even in their European branches like Prague where I was supposed to work. In terms of culture, the company is great. Unfortunately, it's those junior Devs/boys they put in the hiring process who are a hurdle since they would give good feedback depending on if they like you or not just like in any other stereotypical IT company.
Conclusion, company Medallia is good but it just didn't work out for me because either because they did not clearly communicate what they want or because their lousy Devs who were thrown into the testing process.

1. Initial call with recruiter. Filling up some forms before interview is scheduled.
2. 1 hr technical zoom interview with codepad share. After initial introduction you're given a real time code task. You're given a sample of incomplete code based on real case.
3. One part of the task is to implement a simple function and other task is to remove the bugs from existing code and propose modifications to code. Interviewer may guide you in what is expected. e.g edge cases, optimization etc.
Interview was more focused on Java. It was not standard leetcode interview. It would be helpful if recruiter could clarify on nature of interview. Though the interview task was really simple, the expectations from the candidate are not made clear. I didn't make past the 1st round even after implementing and running the code with correct results. So I may not be a good judge of what they're looking for in candidate.
Better clarify the expectations of the task from interviewer before you start coding. Make a list and check that list through the interview, this will improve your chances of getting second call.

Diferente a todo. Casos reales trabajandolos con tu entrevistador como si estuvieras trabajando en un proyecto real. Foco en el proceso y no en resultado. No les importaba que supiera o no métodos especificos del lenguage.
