The process for interviewing was quick, smooth, and efficient. They really want to make sure you know what kind of work you will be getting yourself into in this line of work. I had an excellent time speaking with my interviewer and getting to know the roles of this job.

The interview was about 30 minutes. The woman who interviewed me told me she wanted to interview set me up for a second interview and would reach out in a few days to set it up. I reached out the following week and she told me that there would be no second interview, contradictory to what she said earlier.

Within a week after applying to multiple units at McLean, I received 3 phone calls and 1 one email with invitations to interview. The three interviews I partook in lasted approximately 30-45 minutes and comprised of an explanation of the unit, the responsibilities of the job, questions, and, for two units, tours. The interviews were rather informal and were not heavy on questions. I must have only been asked a maximum of three questions per unit. Approximately a week after interviewing, I received a call from HR indicating all three of the units I interviewed with had offered me the position. One unit did indicate wanting to move forward with me on the spot. This was my first post-undergraduate position graduating with a B.S in Psychology and a minor in Social Work and Welfare. My prior experience while in school was roughly two years in a clinical psychology research lab where I had direct contact with participants and as an administrative assistant at my school's Controler's Office, where I taught monthly classes and provided customer service. There are many programs and units underneath the banner of McLean so the interview experience will differ. At all three of the units I applied to, the interviewers were incredibly friendly and understanding, which I appreciated a lot as I was a ball of nerves for each one. The drug and background tests were administered after I accepted the position.
