Entrevista
I applied online and approximately 2 weeks later, the recruiter contacted me for a phone screen. About 2 weeks after the phone screen, I was asked to interview onsite in Livermore, CA. The last of the three onsite interviews was with upper level Accounting management which was awkward. One question was why was there a decision to focus on Accounts Receivable when I hold a Finance degree...this was quite condescending and asked in such a manner that was a negative view of anyone with Accounts Receivable experience as if that was beneath an Accountant. In addition, out of nowhere, it was stated that their hiring process takes quite some time and they have probably lost candidates because of the lengthy process; I never asked about the process and was shocked at this statement. This was extremely unprofessional and came across as if I was not qualified or desired for the role; I have a great deal of A/R experience which was perfect for this position. It was quite clear from the interview that the company wanted a true accountant, which is what they should have advertised for from the beginning. Needless to say, there was no communication as to a status update after the interviews which is highly unprofessional especially for a highly qualified candidate.
