I felt that it was more of an attempt to learn from me than to find out if I met the qualifications for the job. The interviewer insisted that I needed a TESOL certificate. I told her/him that I hold a Master of Science in education with more than 10 years of experience. I could teach those in the class to get the TESOL. I felt that s/he lacked the qualifications to be conducting an interview in the first place. It felt more like an interrogation. If I were offered a position, I wouldn't accept it.

First interviewer completely shifted the conversation to talk about a job I hadn’t applied for, second interviewer was for a job location in a completely different country that I never indicated interest in, third interview was with the big boss of the whole organization who cancelled an hour before the interview and terminated their interest in me for any position, all for which I was overqualified. Lack of communication, unclear process, lack of transparency, ultimately a waste of time for what would’ve been a low paid / high demanding position I didn’t apply for in the first place. If their interview process is any indication of how they treat employees I dodged a bullet.
