The mentor's role is to guide new writers through their orientation into professional writing and to mold them into competent freelance writers. The interview was in stages spread over 3 weeks. The first stage (after submitting the application) is a grammar test of multiple choice questions. The second stage is the Essay test, where I was given a different writer's work and asked to mark/edit/evaluate it. The third stage was a live video call through Skype.
