The overall process took about 1.5 months and was pretty smooth. I was reached out to by a recruiter the day after I submitted my application. The first interview was with the recruiter and lasted about 30mins. They asked about my current work experience, why I was interested in Mathematica, and why I was looking for a job change. The second was a 1hr technical interview where I went over a take-home assignment that I completed with 2 interviewers. The assignment wasn’t too difficult, but be prepared to go through your methods and general thought process. I didn’t know an answer to one of their questions, so I stated that I didn’t know and my interviewers were fairly forgiving. The last interview was 2hrs with 3 higher level employees including the director of the department. The 2hrs were divided up as one-on-one interviews, not a panel interview. For this, come prepared with examples of your work, be able to elaborate on what is on your resume, be able to discuss your programming skills, and ask good questions. Throughout the process everyone was professional and friendly. The interviews were all conversational and I didn’t feel like I was being grilled at any point.

After applying, a recruiter reached out to set up a 15-20 minute call to discuss the position and inquire about my relevant experience. I was then given a technical exercise that took a couple of hours to complete. The second interview was with two developers who reviewed the technical exercise with me. Finally, I was invited for a final interview with several senior staff members. Overall, the process was smooth, and information was clearly communicated. The recruiter was fantastic, making the process easy. They are very transparent and will provide feedback if an offer isn't extended.
