Solicité el puesto por otro medio. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en MapR Technologies en may 2016
Entrevista
It was very informal and with just one person - and not much technical detail, more of an initial "meet and greet" with both of us getting a feel for the the other. I think it was evident at the end that probably neither side thought it was a great match for a variety of reasons.

I had two rounds of interviews with MapR. First was online coding test and second was phone interview. Both interviews went well and I was fairly certain that they would consider me for next round. However, there was absolutely no communication from their side after the phone interview. After almost 3 weeks, I contacted them and the HR recruiter said they had already hired someone before interviewing me.
It is very disappointing how ruthless companies like MapR can be when treating candidates (especially ones who have to give up on their busy schedules to appear for interviews). For 4 weeks, they didn't care to communicate the outcome of the interview, and when asked, they basically concluded that a candidate was selected on a "first come first serve" basis. Hope this message reaches out to there HR heads so that they can take some action to improve the overall interview process.

Had close to 10 rounds of interviews over 3 days and no offer. After 7 rounds of interview, the HR gets back saying that they are very impressed with me and I need to have final meetings. After the final meeting, they say that they've hired another candidate. This is very disappointing for the following reasons:
1. They gave me false hope through out the interview that I was doing well and finally declined without providing me a concrete reason.
2. They had 3 separate days of onsite interviews(close to 10 hours in total) after 1 phone interview which is an absolute overkill given that after each onsite I was mentioned that 'this is going to be the last rounds of meeting'.
3. They were not frank with their reason(whatever tiny crappy mail send to me). The reason was ' pursued another candidate for our position'. I was told on multiple occasions during the interview (even at the final technical interview) that they found me as a good fit for 2 teams.. How come another candidate can fill in both roles?
My advice to the company is : Firstly, if you cannot complete a candidate interview on 1 on-site interview,, do not trouble him/her. Secondly, the same person need not interview a candidate multiple times; it is the duty of the interviewer to judge the candidate in a single round. Thirdly, provide a solid feedback to the candidate if he/she is not hired; appreciate the candidate's effort and time and tell him/her frankly as to why he/she may not be a good fit. The interview taught me to decline any future interviews where the team wants me to undergo more than 1 day of on-site rounds of interviews.
