I got in contact with HR, who forwarded my resume to the hiring manager and then had to attend a Manager interview in person for around half an hour onsite. I hold Manulife in high regards so this pains me to say it. After the interview, i was ghosted for over 2 weeks then I sent a follow up to be told another candidate was chosen. The positive thing was I was told why I was denied which was "overqualification" which is absurd for a 6-month internship position where we ought to learn on the job. Overall the interviewer was nice and very nice to talk to. The interview is a two way communication step so you will enjoy it if you can communicate well
