4 interviews with 3-4 recruiter updates that took ~5 weeks after being approached on LinkedIn by hiring team. Ultimately the Macy's team pitched a lower position of Sr Data Engineer despite all interview requests being titled with "Lead Data Engineer". Although disappointing, this was fine as it met my salary requirements still, but definitely feels very "bait and switch". After receiving positive feedback and multiple confirmations that an offer was going to be in my hands soon, I was eventually ghosted by the Macy's team.
