I got contacted by a head hunter and had an interview with a Machine Learning Research Lead. The role was supposed to be an MLOps position that involves implementing and deploying ML models. However, the research lead assumed my role to be a "quarterback" that leads the team in every step. Furthermore, after hearing my experience, the interviewer did not even ask anything about the MLOps field. Instead, he asked a lot of research questions as if he wanted to seek advice for a problem that he had in the research team. Both the interviewer and the head hunter ghosted after the interview. If you have no idea about a position, do not hire. The job seekers deserve respect during and after the process.
