Simple application, saw on local centre website and sent my cv and cover letter through by email. Took a while for a reply, 2 weeks or so, by this time is forgotten about the job. Caught me off guard with a phone call whilst I was makeup shopping which got abit akward with the sales consultant helping me. Spoke for about 10 mins about arranging a interview/ trail shift and that was it. Went into the trail shift the week after ( dress code is all black and/or white , mostly black though) I read through some online interviews and they mentioned going in and smelling and playing with some products which I did whilst waiting. Then had a lovely lady come and take me into the back room, welcome me into the store and hand me an apron. Then another worker was assigned to me to show me the ropes so to say. She took me through where all the products were and the demos and how to demo on customers whilst also demoing on me. I was really excited up until this point. However the actual shift was quite akward as the employees seem to be quite dull and just stood around when no customers were in and speak to one another whilst I carried on smelling products again and again. At at the end of the shift I was brought into the back room again and given a whizz through interview I again
Very organised, great from email to in store experience. I received all the things I needed beforehand, I met so many employees, thank you so much especially to tory and leila within my department

Everyone's process is different with LUSH but during my process, I had a normal one-to-one interview which got the employer to know me more. I also had a trial shift.

Group interview, where you're split into groups and cycle through different tasks manned by different staff members. Some may include doing hand/arm massages, roleplaying a demo of products and explaining it to customers, or showing proof of active listening. If successful, onwards to a trial shift where you'll have an hour to work on the shop floor and showcase your ability approaching customers - basically a tester of how you'd likely perform if hired (so give it your best, if you're too quiet or nervous and not proactive you won't get the job).
Not the most neurodivergent friendly process however.

The group interview isn't really done via questions. You'll be likely just be observed and judged that way.
