It was a large group interview, with about thirty other people there. I thought this would make it a stressful experience, but everyone was really friendly and it was actually very enjoyable. We did a couple of different group activities, with opportunities to share our responses with everyone. First was introductions - who we are, our fave Lush product and then our fave hristmas song. DO NOT SAY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A FAVOURITE/HAVEN'T USED THE PRODUCTS BEFORE. They want people who are passionat about the shop and the products. Then, we were individually given the name of a random celebrity and asked to pick a product for them and explain why we chose it. Again, this is testament to the fact that there really is no point applying if you don't use the products/know about the shop. Then, we were shown how to demo a couple of products. We then had to replicate that demonstration on a member of staff to show them how we would engage with a customer. Finally, we shared Christmas stories and were given a nice little gift for our participation in the evening. It was a really fun night and they did everything they could to put interviewees at ease. when I got through that stage, I then had to participate in an hour long trial shift where I had to work the shop floor. Mine was the first trial shift and there were a number of them happening over a series of weekends, so I had to wait a little while to hear back from this.

I was invited to a group interview on a weekday night at the end of November. I did not know it was going to be a group interview, but we waited outside the location until the privacy screen was lifted and we were ushered in. Passport was provided (mandatory) and nametags assiged. We were split into two groups for two tasks. One group went to practice lower arm massages with the massage bars; people paired up and were guided on the process. The other group played a silly game (I forgot what she called it, but it was an improv process to build upon an imaginary story upon each person's turn). After each group had done both tasks, we were gathered up and asked if we had any questions.
