HR Interview + Hiring Manager Interview + Interview with another colleague or a panel. In general, interviews are not hard at Lonza. They are friendly and the Work Culture is great there anyways, so you keep applying.
What I cannot understand is how disorganized they are and how exhausting is their hiring process. I've applied for 14 positions at Lonza (12 in Visp and 2 in Portsmouth). Most of the positions are related and I believe I have the experience required to perform well in all of them. I've been rejected without consideration for 8 of these, and had 1, 2 & 3 rounds of interviews for 6 of these positions. They ALL give me good feedback and say that they will hopefully see me soon because they really liked me. The whole process takes 2 months in average, then they don't select me. I have one last of these 6 positions I interviewed for that may/may not contact me for an offer. At this point I'm done applying for permanent positions with Lonza. I've worked with them before as a Consultant and had a great experience, which is why I keep applying, but one gets tired. I may just consider them for Consulting Contracts. What I don't understand is the ridiculous amount of employees needed at Lonza, and employee shortage, however they have a horrendous application/hiring process. How can you tell me I check all the boxes, then make me wait for 2 months to not select me? Lonza, please fix this! I probably know the whole QA department at Visp now lol.

Unangenehme Gesprächsatmosphäre und teils sehr seltsame HR Fragen die mit dem Job selbst nichts zu tun hatten. Der Interviewer wusste nichts über Lonza und das ausgeschriebene Jobprofil. Das Interview wirkte unprofessionel und konfus/chaotisch auf mich. Bisher von allen Jobinterviews das schlechteste.

Lonza seems incredibly disorganized, takes awhile to get back to candidates, has vague job descriptions and sometimes upper management will ditch the candidates and not show up for interviews with no warning.
