Was connected through an employee reference and sent an aptitude test to complete. The aptitude test is ridiculous! I thought it was a hard test given the limited amount of time. Questions do require some thinking, and I felt far too rushed in each question to do my best. I also felt the test is an unfair measure of intelligence. I am not strong in math, as it was not my major or specialty. Clearly, that is why I am applying for an HR role. My strength is communications and English. Not math. Though an engineer who's expertise is math may have no problem with the test, I found it difficult within the time frame. There were math problems I am capable of solving but not off the top of my head.
I never heard back from HR after I took the test and pretty sure I failed. I honestly felt unintelligent after taking the test...and I know I'm not unintelligent because I graduated from an accredited top-tier university. So, the interview process at Lithium is flawed. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was qualified for the job but has had trouble with the aptitude test. Lithium is missing out on great talent by only interviewing people who pass this ridiculous unreasonable test. I also would have preferred feedback that I failed the test, versus guessing my status. However, no response was ever given. I even followed up with the recruiter and heard nothing back. Terrible interview process, would not consider again.
